Hasbro has released details on a pretty cool exclusive for San Diego Comic Con 2013... The original 12 STAR WARS action figures are re-imagined for San Diego Comic-Con with a twist based on the mega-hit mobile game ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS from Rovio Entertainment! LUKE SKYWALKER, PRINCESS LEIA, HAN SOLO, OBI-WAN KENOBI, CHEWBACCA, R2-D2, C-3PO, DARTH VADER, STORMTROOPER, SAND PEOPLE, IMPERIAL NAVY COMMANDER and a JAWA are all re-imagined as heroic birds or evil pigs in this set, with each figure in a unique vintage-style blister card featuring ANGRY BIRDS homage to the classic Kenner artwork! The individual blister cards are all packaged together in a collectible package!

Play Arts Kai Metallic Batman SDCC 2013 Exclusive

Play Arts Kai Batman is a stunning figure with a metallic black finish. This 10-inch tall exclusive figure, based on Batman's look in The Dark Knight Rises, is limited to only 1000 pieces. The figure comes with alternate sets of hands, various weapons, and a display stand. Just look at those amazing pictures! WOW!

Kick Ass 2 SDCC Exclusive 2013 Prop Replica

I'm not sure what I think about this... it's a weapon! But I'm sure many will go bonkers over a chance to own an exact prop replica of a 'Betsy Ross' which was directly copied from the screen-used prop used by Jim Carrey in Kick Ass 2 and is made of Wood with metal stars on one end and a detailed grip tape handle on the other. This hand painted replica of Colonel Stars and Stripes' ax handle is 28-inches long and 8-inches in diameter at its thickest end. This 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive is will be limited to 2,000 pieces and made available only at the NECA boot.

The Hobbit Comic-Con Exclusive - Azog!

The Bridge Direct just announced the following (and I am more excited that words can express!) ... "Our 7" tall Orc Commander Azog comes in a numbered, limited edition of 2,600 pieces. Azog is depicted as he appears in the prologue scene from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In the battle between the dwarves and an army of orcs to reclaim Moria, Azog holds the severed head of the dwarf King Thror up in victory. The figure comes with interchangeable hands - the right hand that holds Thror's head can be replaced with a hand capable of holding either his dagger or mace, and the left hand can be switched with the prosthetic spikes that replaced the hand he lost to Thorin's sword"

 

Graphitti Designs - SDCC 2013 Exclusives

DC Collectibles, the high-end toy and collectible line from DC Entertainment, today revealed four “con exclusive” products that will only be available to those attending San Diego Comic-Con 2013.

The first is Aardman: Superman Action Figure designed by Rich Webber and sculpted by Phil Ramirez. Created by Aardman, the British brains behind “WALLACE AND GROMIT,” is their own unique take on the Man of Steel. He is based on the popular interstitial shorts shown during DC Nation on Cartoon Network. Aardman: Superman is approximately 6.5” tall.

The second is a three-pack of Super Best Friends Forever Action Figures, designed by Lauren Faust and sculpted by Irene Matar. Super Best Friends Forever is also from the popular interstitial shorts aired during DC Nation on Cartoon Network and they are ready to take care of business! Meet Super Best Friends Forever: Supergirl, Batgirl and Wonder Girl, measuring approximately 6.5”, 5.45” and 6.8” tall, respectively.

The third, Batman Arkham City: Hugo Strange was sculpted by Sam Greenwell. The Hugo Strange Action Figure is based on the designs of the critically acclaimed video game from Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Batman: Arkham City. He measures approximately 6.75” tall.

The fourth con exclusive is DC Comics’ Superheroes of Green Lantern four-pack. Green Lantern Sinestro and Dex-Starr were sculpted by Robert Lynders and Arkillo and Black Hand were sculpted by Phil Ramirez. Make sure to put the universe’s most fearsome foursome on your must-have list for SDCC; you don’t want to cross this intergalactic quartet! This set is in the 3.75” scale. This is the latest in the popular 3.75” con exclusive action figure from DC Collectibles.

The Monster High exclusive Comic-Con 2013 doll will be Wydowna Spider dressed as 'Webarella' the super hero! Comic-Con 2013 Monster High Wydowna Spider

There's not much to say about the this... it will be one of the most popular exclusives available at Comic-Con this summer: Wydowna Spider. Mattel's Monster High dolls have swept the nation in popularity and quality. Although I'm not a fan or collector of these dolls, I think Mattel has done a great job producing a refreshingly creative product time and time again with the dolls. This will be the first sell-out at SDCC 2013 in my opinion!

NECA's Second SDCC Exclusive 2013 - JASON!

NECA will release and very interesting and sure-to-be cult following action figure at San Diego Comic-Con 2013... 8-BIT VIDEO GAME VERSION of JASON from Nintendo's 1989 game FRIDAY THE 13TH. Yes, you heard correctly... but there's more... it glows in the dark! Jason's mask, hands, and feet will glow a beautiful soft blue, while his included machete blade and axe head will glow white.

Star Wars Black Series - Boba Fett and Han Carbonite

This is pretty impressive! Hasbro has announced a 6" Star Wars collector's series entitled "Black Series" and to catapult the line to epic proportions there will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive Boba Fett! The 6-inch  Fett will include two signature weapons, a jet pack, and Han Solo frozon in Carbonite! The packaging looks amazing and I think it's just what the Star Wars collectors have been waiting for... the Force is strong with this one!

 

Hobbit Action Figures (Wave 2)

The Bridge Direct is planning a dynamite Wave 2 of Hobbit action figures and a San Diego Comic Con exclusive! While they haven't confirmed the SDCC Exclusive there is an online rumor it will by Smog the Dragon in scale with the 3 3/4" figures! Wave 2 is expected in October 2013 and will include:

SDCC 2013 Exclusives (Mattel) part 3

Mattel continues to reveal their Comic-Con lineup with three more exclusives: Barbie as Catwoman, Batusi Batman from the Classic 1960s TV show and another Hot Wheels pop-culture vehicle: The A-Team Custom GMC Van with mud deco! I'm impressed that Mattel continues the give fans interesting exclusives. Whatever you enjoy collecting, you should find something appealing from Mattel.

SDCC 2013 Exclusives (Mattel)

Mattel is releasing information about Comic Con 2013 in waves this week. Two exclusives each day will be revealed through Friday.

The first 4 exclusives are: Battlestar Galactica Hotwheels 1:64 scale Colonial Viper and Cylon Raider. Masters of the Universe 2-pack Rokkon and Stonedar. Lastly we've received a sneak peak at a Superman Man of Steel "Movie Masters" 2-pack that includes the Man of Steel himself and General Zod.
