Ninja of the Month - Animal Spirit Ninja by Shawnimals

 

I like this one! Coming in less than a week (Wed., Aug 1 for $30) is the new Ninja of the Month plush by Shawnimals, Animal Spirit Ninja. "Legend tells of a feral, kibble-loving ninja roaming wild just inside the dense walls of the Dark Forest. Animal Spirit howls and growls ferociously each and every night. Evil? Definitely not, yet outside of being a disciple of Sprout Ninja its animalistic intentions aren’t fully known."

Star Wars Exclusive Jocasta Nu Figure

Jocasta Nu, Chief Librarian of the Jedi Library (Brian's Toys Exclusive) is now available for pre-order. This is an amazing figure that collectors have been excited about for while. It was previously intended to be a Star Wars Celebration VI exclusive, but because Hasbro isn't offering any exclusives at the convention next month (I'm very disappointed about that!!) it was switched to a Brian's Toys Exclusive. The figure includes:

DragonCon is Coming!

DragonCon is coming in a month (Aug 31-Sept 3). Check out the official website for all the events. There are some great Fan Tracks this year including Tolkien's Middle Earth track! What better way to celebration the Hobbit release this December! Here is the description:


"The Hobbit Movie is coming!  This year’s track will deal with gearing us up for this long awaited movie with The One Ring dot net leading the way.  Join us for an insider’s look at the Hobbit movies.  We will once again have our Tolkien/Lewis panel as well.  Don’t forget about our costuming panels and join our many scholars iin their presentations on the works of JRR Tolkien.  Friday night, we have “An Evening in Bree” with music by Emeral Rose.  Don’t forget about the costume competition during the intermission at this event.  Come show off your costume for all to see." 

Star Wars Celebration Exclusive: R2-Q5

Diamond Select Toys has announced a new Star Wars Celebration VI exclusive: the popular black droid R2-Q5 bust bank (1/4th scale). This will be extremely limited to only 100 pieces at the convention! They have also held back a small amount of the red droid R2-R9 (first seen at San Diego Comic Con) to be sold at Celebration VI.

Star Wars Celebration VI Exclusive - Greedo Character Key

Star Wars Celebration VI is less than a month away! Here is a peak at the ACME Greedo Character Key that will be exclusive to the convention. It is limited to only 500 and a great cartoon depiction of the vile green alien!

SDCC 2012 Exclusive Hobbit stuff by WETA Workshop

I can't help but post more Hobbit news! WETA Workshop has announced 2 exclusives for San Diego Comic Con 2012: First up is the 1:6 scale Thorin Oakenshield statue (limited to 500 at SDCC and 200 released online). Great statue that includes an exclusive shield that will only be available at Comic-Con. There will also be an exclusive iconic print.

Star Wars Celebration VI Exclusive Droid by Kotobukiya

Kotobukiya has announced their Star Wars Celebration VI exclusive and it's a dandy! An ArtFx+ statue of the green astromech droid R2-A6. It is limited to only 500 pieces and includes a Celebration VI collector's coin and additional pieces so the droid can be displayed with two legs or three legs!

SDCC 2012 - Indiana Jones and LIVE Snake Pit

Coming to San Diego Comic Con... lots of snakes... and you can pre-order the new Indiana Jones Blue-ray set. Did I mention a snake pit at SDCC 2012? I can't wait to see this!

SDCC 2012 Exclusive Green Lantern by Graphitti Designs

We have been waiting for an official announcement by Graphitti Designs and their San Diego Comic Con 2012 plans. Here it is... an entirely new line of 3 3/4 inch collectible action figures called DC Collecibles that will only be available at conventions. (Interesting!) The first 2-pack is Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and Kilowog. It will be exclusive to SDCC 2012 and will not be released online.

I reported a few days ago about the first Hobbit action figure (Exclusive Invisible Bilbo) which will only be available at San Diego Comic Con and will be limited and numbered in a sweet collector's box. Tthe July edition of Shawnimals' NINJA OF THE MONTH has been announced. Pink Ninja is $30 and includes "hard candy ammo sling" and a sticker, button and signed tag. SDCC 2012 Exclusive Invisible Bilbo Baggins

If you weren't excited (already) for San Diego Comic Con 2012, then you'd better be NOW! The Bridge Direct (the company that acquired the rights to make new toys and figures for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) has announced an exclusive for SDCC. This Invisible Bilbo Baggins figure will be packaged in a limited edition box and features a detailed figure wearing the One Ring. I'm sure this will be the first of many Hobbit collectibles I'll be purchasing!
